Privacy Policy
Loopa is a daily task planner. This page explains what information Loopa collects, why, and how it's handled. We built Loopa to be a private place for your own tasks — not a data business, so this is short on purpose.
What we collect
- Account information: the email address and password you sign up with. Your password is never stored in plain text — only a one-way (bcrypt) hash is kept, which cannot be reversed back into your password.
- Content you create: the tasks, categories, and completion history you enter into the app. This content is stored so the app can show it back to you across sessions and devices.
Loopa does not request access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or location, and does not collect any of that information.
What we don't do
- No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs are included in the app.
- No data is sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers.
- No tracking across other apps or websites.
How your data is used
Your account and task data are used solely to operate the app: authenticating you, and storing/retrieving your tasks and categories. Every request is scoped to your account — other users cannot see or access your data.
Where it's stored
Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Neon) accessed only over encrypted (TLS) connections, behind an API served over HTTPS.
Data retention & deletion
Your data is retained as long as your account exists. To delete your account and all associated data, email xjohnfitcodes@gmail.com from the address on your account and we'll delete it within 7 days.
Children's privacy
Loopa is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change accordingly. Material changes will be reflected in the app's release notes.
